Who doesn’t love layering and accessorizing come autumn and winter? From September’s cooler nights, through October bringing Halloween, and then the end-of-year holidays…it’s the most wonderful time of the year!

This is the original way people would wear the infinity scarf. And the steps are not very difficult to follow. If you like some step-by-step tutorials like this one, be sure to check out our overview of how to tie a Windsor knot when you plan for a tie event (or job!).
Step One:
Take the scarf and put your head through the large circle.
Step Two:
Once you have done that, you are going to take the two sides in front of you and cross them so it makes an eight (infinity symbol).
Step Three.
Then make the hole on the side you crossed large enough to fit your head through comfortably and proceed to do so.
Step Four:
Adjust the scarf to fit you comfortably. You can have it tighter around the neck or the two loops can be almost even in length with each other.
The hooded scarf
If you want to make a hood out of your infinity scarf, there is an easy way to do so.
Step One:
Follow all of the steps listed above.
Step Two:
Take the back of the second scarf loop, and pull it over your head like a hood.
Step Three:
If you want extra support, stuff the bottom half of the hood piece into the first loop so that the hood stays connected and you won’t feel a breeze on your neck.
The single loop
While not as dramatic as the other looks, this style can look extremely fashionable when worn in the right manner.
Step One:
Take the scarf and put it around your neck. This is the only step. It’s not very hard and it’s an easy accessory if you have no other ideas for your current outfit.
The pulling style
This one is a bit more complicated, but can look very cute when done right.
Step One:
Take the scarf and box it out. Even all the edges and fold it to be a long rectangle.
Step Two:
Lay the scarf over your shoulders. Make sure that the sides are even.
Step Three:
Stick your hand through one of the side pockets. You can choose to use your dominant hand, or the other. This is only a preference matter.
Step Four:
Grab the other end of the scarf and pull it to the other side of the pocket.
Step Five:
Grab on to the end that you pulled through and tighten it up like a tie. Again, you can tighten it or keep it as loose as you want. This is completely up to you.
These are some of the best ways that you can tie this style of scarf. Of course, there are plenty more options available. But these are some quality approaches to accessorizing with an infinity scarf. Embrace the cool weather! Your fall fashion trends will always include a scarf for layering so these will stay in style – warmth and comfort; that’s a win.
